Intelligent lighting is a blue ocean market
"With the advent of the LED era, from the point of view of energy-saving, digital application and consumer upgrading experience, intelligent lighting has a huge opportunity for development." Huang Xiaojun said.
According to the Prospective Industry Research Institute's China Intelligent Lighting Industry Analysis Report, in 2016, the domestic market size of the intelligent lighting industry was about 12.4 billion yuan, an increase of 23% year-on-year. Intelligent LED will complete the iteration of the traditional lighting market, so it is a must-contend place in the future.
In 2014, Huang Xiaojun set up Tune Tech, which focuses on intelligent lighting and central control systems, and formally entered the field of intelligent lighting. "In fact, before founding Tuning Technology, I have done market research, LED digital applications must be an industry of high-speed development in the next decade."
In Huang Xiaojun's view, the Internet of Things is the future development of the industry, intelligent LED 0contains a huge market potential, on the one hand, because the policy trend is good, on the other hand, the lighting industry "thinking" is relatively slow, lighting giants have not really entered the market.
"At present, in China's annual output value of more than 200 billion yuan in the market, there is no one loud lighting brand, which is an opportunity for startups. In addition, although the world's more famous lighting companies are in the layout of digital applications, the layout of smart city lighting, such as landscape, buildings, etc., but there is no focus on the layout of the family scenario area, and the real big market in the field of lighting is actually the family market. And intelligent lighting equipment mostly in the form of a single product, the lack of systematic solutions." Huang Xiaojun said.
Why intelligent lighting is currently not popularized? Huang Xiaojun believes that one is not aware of intelligent LED products, low market awareness. Second, the current market products can not provide simple intelligent light control to meet people's needs. Most of the lights are not only single color and non-adjustable, intelligent but not convenient, and a small number of intelligent lighting systems are expensive.
"Our initial intention is to solve the market pain points in the lighting industry and take the lead in proposing a system-level intelligent lighting solution." Huang Xiaojun said that he hopes to break down the barriers between electric lighting and intelligent control, and put forward a set of easy-to-use and cost-effective intelligent lighting system.
Main focus on home lighting scenarios
"Our main business now is intelligent home lighting, do a good job and then extend to other areas." Huang Xiaojun told reporters that we are more concerned about the market product innovation and focus on customer demand.
Huang Xiaojun is very optimistic about the development prospects of the smart home. "The future development of the smart home depends on two aspects, one is that the smart home should provide value for customers, customers are willing to use, more and more people use. The second is that the smart home entrance is actually diverse, smart home lighting can also be the entrance, but the ultimate goal is to make life simple and practical."
Huang Xiaojun told reporters, "Intelligent lighting equipment can enter thousands of homes without obstacles, and has the advantage of being widely distributed in the space, involving a large number of nodes and high frequency of use."
However, at present, the key application market of intelligent lighting is concentrated in the public lighting field represented by street lamps and some commercial lighting, the application of home lighting is still very limited, but it is also accelerating into thousands of homes.
"We are working with a number of real estate companies such as Evergrande Real Estate, CCCC Real Estate, Zhongliang Real Estate, and so on, is to seek the opportunity to reveal the brand, which is also the best opportunity to show the brand." Huang Xiaojun said.
In fact, in intelligent lighting, lighting is only a part, more important is the intelligent control platform.
Huang Xiaojun said, "Most of the intelligent lighting products in the market are still entry-level, the real complete intelligent lighting solution can only be a software and hardware integration of the overall solution; and this programme at the same time to meet the combination of multiple lamps, light sources, switches, the control system needs to be the scale of the group network, the entire space of the lighting equipment can be centrally controlled and other characteristics. "
It is understood that Tuning Technology is a hardware and software integration of the company, the current intelligent lighting products by the super switch, super lamps, wireless small switch and APP, using Zigbee + WIFI wireless communication protocol, can be dynamically grouped network, up to support simultaneous control of 2000 lamps. The super lamp in this mode reinvents human-lamp interaction through the concept of "Simple Intelligence", allowing interaction between the user and the lamp, as well as communication between the lamp and the lamp.

Huang Xiaojun believes that the brand of the lighting industry needs to be joined by innovative companies.
In Huang Xiaojun's view, the brand implies two aspects: one is visibility, the other is reputation. The core of brand building is based on the low price and high quality of the product, and it must also be a lasting and steady thing.
In front of the huge market, international manufacturers have entered the field of intelligent lighting, relative to the internationally renowned lighting companies Philips, GE, OSRAM, etc., many domestic brands still have a big gap, the lack of brand concept.
In this regard, Huang Xiaojun believes that many companies enter the intelligent lighting, indicating that the industry has a lot of space for development, with a huge market potential. In China, the establishment of low-priced durable products is the core strategy of the brand.
At present, Tune Tech has launched 14 light sources, covering downlights, spotlights, bamboo bulbs, bulb lights, wall washer lights, soft light strips, etc. In addition, there are independent physical switches.
Huang Xiaojun said, in terms of light source, the primary intelligent lighting products are only coloured light panels and white light panels, and Philips only light bulbs, spotlights, soft strip lights and ceiling lamps, Tune Tech's categories are rich and contains a complete control module, but also to provide system-level intelligent lighting solutions.
